The story of Artisans of New York began with a defining moment of connection — when our founder, Mehmet Kazdal, first encountered our signature handcrafted glass vase, a piece that brings together the minimalist beauty of Ikebana floral design and the timeless artistry of blown glass art.

This wasn’t merely an encounter with an object, but a meeting of vision and creative possibility — the moment that sparked a lifelong devotion to craftsmanship, simplicity, and artistic expression.

What began with the unique works of local New York glass artists soon wove itself into a larger tapestry of American craftsmanship, connecting independent makers and artisans across the country through a shared dedication to the handmade, sustainable, and meaningful.
Each artist brings their own creative voice, design vision, and unique technique — and every piece in our curated collection carries the energy of its maker, along with the subtle imperfections that make it truly one of a kind.

While art glass remains at the heart of who we are, our curated collection has evolved to include handcrafted ceramics, artisan-made jewelry, and decorative objects crafted with natural stones and organic elements — pieces that are thoughtfully created and rich with character.

To reflect our growth and artistic expansion, we introduced two distinct sub-brands:

• Alchemist – A bold collection of large-scale signature glass sculptures that embody the spirit and vision of Artisans of New York.

• Blown Away – A playful series of hand-blown glass animal figurines, decorative art objects, and smaller treasures, full of charm and intricate detail.

Every year, beginning two months before Christmas, we open three enchanting holiday pop-up stores in the heart of Bryant Park, New York City — a beloved seasonal tradition that brings us closer to those who appreciate the beauty of handmade gifts and the presence of contemporary glass art.

Beyond this festive period, our online glass art store and artisan marketplace allows us to share our passion globally, reaching art lovers, collectors, and design enthusiasts throughout the year.
