Hand-Blown Art Glass Vessels with Layered Color and Organic Texture
The Batik Series is a celebration of organic beauty and masterful craftsmanship. Each vessel, vase, and bowl in this collection is individually hand-blown and enriched with seven layers of powdered glass in earthy, elemental tones. These colors melt, blend, and separate during the glassblowing process, forming striking, naturally-inspired patterns that evoke stone, bark, or mineral formations.
Though the process follows a consistent approach, the final result is always one-of-a-kind. The interplay of hues gives each piece its own identity, marked by a seemingly textured surface and an extraordinary depth that appears to shift with changing light.
Elegant and grounded, the Batik Series brings together art, nature, and material exploration into timeless decorative glassware. Whether displayed as a statement centerpiece or part of a curated collection, these works offer a balance of rustic soulfulness and refined design.
Design & Inspiration
The process begins with studying geological formations, translating their organic layers and textures into conceptual sketches that define each vessel’s form, color palette, and flow pattern.
Glassblowing & Layering
Skilled artisans hand-blow each piece, layering rich opaque base colors with fluid designs that mimic marble and mineral strata, ensuring every vessel is one-of-a-kind.
Finishing & Detailing
Once shaped, the vessel is annealed for strength, then finished with a metallic-colored lip and, for select models, a hot-sculpted finial lid — completing its transformation into a refined art object.
